New Discussion Boards Active

Thank you all for your patience as we have tested various discussion board software for use at this site. After several weeks of active testing, the Quotable Heinlein public has decided the best all around solution is the DCForum 2000 software. For this reason, I've switched the discussion boards link to point to the new boards and will be deleting all the older test software in the next few days.
The new discussion boards are here to stay (possibly for many years to come unless something better makes itself known). I know this process has been painful for some of you as your valuable kernels of wisdom posted in old forums that did not make the cut were deleted. Thank you again for your patience as we have made this transition.
The new software is as permanent as permanent can get on the internet. Please post to your heart's content. Enjoy!

New Discussion Boards Available for Testing

Happy Holidays!
In response to complaints regarding the current discussion board software, I've decided to install an alternative set of software for you to test. Further details can be found in the General Discussion forum in the current Discussion Boards under the thread "Test Alternative Boards". Once you've had a chance to test both, please reply in the "Test Alternative Boards" thread with your vote.
Each set of software has strengths and weaknesses. Ultimately, the Quotable Heinlein users should decide which is best. Thanks!

New quotes added to Quotable Heinlein Database

Eighty new quotes have been added to the database today. The quotes were submitted from the old Quotable Heinlein site between October 1998 and November 1999 (needless to say, I had no idea how long these had been piling up in my Heinlein Quotes folder).
Thanks to all of you that submitted quotes!
I'll soon be reintroducing the "Add a Quote" form once I've made a few modifications to the software handling the quote additions. Also, look for the several volunteers to do a much more timely job of adding quotes to the database than I have over the past year.
